Saint Barthélemy - AKA: St. Barth

There was a mass exodus from SXM for several days in the third week of March. A good weather window had boats on the move to their next destination and we were part of the southern crowd. There were many others moving in the opposite direction. With Spring around the corner, everyone is thinking of making it to their Hurricane Season destination.

So we parted ways with Shangri La after departing the lagoon. They sailed to Saba. We sailed to St. Barth. I bet they had the better day. St. Barth was right on our nose, so we had to tack back and forth.

We spent five gorgeous days in St. Barth. It's a beautiful island with spectacular views from the mountain tops. Our dear friends, Craig and Christa on s/v Simunya are living here aboard their boat for part of the year and although we missed Craig by a day, Christa gave us a full tour of the island.
