Westminster Bridge Touch down!! here in London........Heathrow on the 13rd March. After leaving Taiwan and a stop over in in Guiongzou China we have arrived in London Town. Very cold and windy not that we planned on being here so early, as we where planning to travel to Japan then on booking tickets Glen found the best tickets to England at a steal. So we booked them instead and here we are, freezing but still here in London. I haven't been home in 26 years so you can imagine the change. We have found a nice place in Kensington, everything is so expensive here in London but you expect that. Their is a mixture of cultures and nationalities but everyone has a London accent, quite strange if you haven't been present to seen this progress.
Purchasing a few warmer items to our wardrobe but keeping in mind that we still have to carry it all in our back packs. We have been in London 10 days so far and have managed to walk to all corners, not that we are being so cheap we have a Oyster card but choose to walk because we are eating so much, because of the cold

Queen Elizabeth Tower which contains the Big Ben weather. Thought the weather has been cold it has been very crisp and fine. We had a lovely day at the Tower of London and visited the Crown Jewels and enjoyed the history walk with the famous Beef Eaters. Glen is loving London he is enthralled with the history and the architecture of the place, from climbing St Paul's dome and viewing London, from the Tower Bridge looking down through the glass floor onto the traffic that passes over the Thames that flows. We have visited Greenwich Observatory and the palaces and maritime museums and the Cutty Sark that sailed Tea from the Asia's and then Wool from Australia.
We have walked the streets of the Monopoly board and Train Stations visited the famous shops of London, Harrods, Fortum and Mason, etc. Visited Buckingham Palace and each day walking in Kensington Gardens we would love to take Prince George for a walk, we could push him over to his grans but I don't think Kate and William would allow us.Have loved the great Museums of London and the all the exhibitions but still more to see, before we leave and visit the rest of the United Kingdom. Tried to visit
London
Westminster Abbey Julianne Assange who is shacked up at the Ecuador Embassy right behind the Harrords department store, the police men were quite amused by a couple of Australians who were trying to get a glimpse of Julianne. When our children were small we watched Mary Poppins and Bed knobs and Broomsticks we haven't seen Mary Poppins yet kids, but went to the Markets down Portobello road. So many things happened in London written in History and in Movies. Luxury cars are a must here Maserati, Ferrari and McLaren, Bentleys and Rolls Royces. The wealth here in London is amazing, Glen says even the dogs are posh, no mutts here. Some days we think we are in Russia, lots of Russian tourist and I suppose residents too. We have been to Earls Court and Hammersmith to connect to the Aussies here in London. Eating at the local Pubs which are again quite expensive but each time we sit down we seem to adopt a traveler or a local which delights us, we love chatting and swapping stories and very important learning the local knowledge of what to do and not to do.Today we are relaxing watching some telly and writing the blog, we are

Sorry that the whether has been a bit on the cool side but I guess it is a change from the heat. We are in the middle of NSW elections we vote next Saturday. Everyone is doing well back here.
