Today was our last day before our night flight home. The hotel had given us a late checkout so that meant we could use the day for some shopping before returning for showers before the flight.

We caught the tube to Knightsbridge so everyone could have a look at Harrods. We then went for a long walk beside the park as my husband wanted to see the Albert Memorial after he had seen my photos of it last year. It was a beautiful sunny day, so a very pleasant walk.

We then caught the first bus that came along for Oxford Circus and sat up top having a last look at London. We got off near John Lewis as a lady on the bus told me that there were good clean toilets there! We also noticed the cafeteria at John Lewis so we sat and had really good steak sandwiches and a glass of red.

At this point our daughter separated from us for some serious retail therapy while we just wandered around, finally walking right down Regent Street and finally back to Westminster Bridge.

Our transfer service collected us right on time, which was good as the traffic was horrendous going to Heathrow. I dread to think what a meter taxi might have cost!

We flew out of Heathrow on time, heading for Kuala Lumpur and a couple of days of pool time before returning to Australia.
