Bring plenty of British Pounds. So much to see and do in London, we'll have to come back! We had great fish & chips at St. Georges' Tavern near the Victoria train station.

Saw Big Ben, London Eye-went for a ride, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Trafalger Square, Buckingham Palace, Changing of the Guard, The Royal Mews, St. Paul's Cathedral and the final flight of the Concorde just to name a few.

We are visiting London and England again in April 2005.

The White Tower

It was on the grounds of the Tower of London that Anne Boleyn, second wife of King Henry VIII was falsely convicted of adultery and beheaded on May 19, 1536. Many others were murdered or executed here, either on Tower Green or, outside the castle, in public on Tower Hill.

Its nickname, Traitors' Gate, derives from the prisoners brought through it to the Tower, which was long used as a state prison.
