There are heaps of Aussies in London, but I never realised just how many until we saw Australia play Denmark at Loftus Road stadium. Those poor Danes, surrounded by a sea of green and gold, yelling and screaming and mexican waving like mad. The crowd was especially vocal when the referee seemed to keep favouring the Danes.
We were missing many of our key Aussie players, but the Aussie team still did well against a strong Danish side.
The only remaining question in my mind is whether the yobs in the shorts and singlets FROZE to death in the chilly English winter weather. (I was cold enough in boots, coat, gloves and scarf!)
