I am at my last port of call: London England. I fly home tomorrow! I thought it would be fun to put together all the lessons I have learned from this trip. Cheers Bria What I have learned: -Not spicy does not always guarentee that your mouth won't be burning by the end of the meal. Spicy is subjective, not objective. -Malaria pills don't actuallly prevent malaria they just delay it and make it less severe. No worries I was told this, I didn't learn it from experience. -Charcol pills are miracle workers on stomachs. Again I did not learn from experience. -A glass of Coco Cola can really help ease stomach aches. This one I learned from experience. -Always pack the night before. You never know when your alarm will fail you. I learned the ... read more

So here we go! Basically when i'm away i'd like to keep a blog/diary, whatever you wanna call it, just to see how well i can do it and keep people interested! Or just make people who are working outrageously jealous.... Having finished work last friday today was my first proper day to sit down and have a look at what i've got. After about 4 minutes it became pretty clear that it was not enough.....and in trying to be "ahead of the game" i managed to snap off 3 out of 4 of the toggles on my sleeping bag that make it smaller...so now it doesn't fit in my pack. Next 3 months look promising then :) At the moment there really isn't much to write apart from that i'm not getting enough injections and ... read more

Not too bad. The whole process has been outsourced to another company. Bit of research from Si H helped "I went along to the Indian embassy and had a chat. Thankfuly it help remind me of what we can expect ... lots of 'yes's'... little information and a scrappy bit of paper. the gist of all this was that the following web site is the one to use, victoria the place to go, and you can indeed do it all on-line ... should take 3 working days... however, as you might be aware there is the odd postal strike in london, and I would therefore recommend in person or special delivery both ways!!!". Mike G - drop off 25/09 - just under 2 hrs, pick up 30/09 - 15 mins if you leave it late. Dave ... read more

Heaven and Hell del 2. Mest Heaven.

The tennis was one thing that I had to do while in London, so when I got told that we would have to wake up at 6am and mission it to Wimbledon line up for four hours in the boling hot sun we were all jumping out of our skins for the opportunity. So glad we did it though, just to say I went there is very cool and something I will never forget. It had to be one of the warmest days in London and sitting on the bank eatting strawberries and cream was awesome. We were sitting so close to a water feature and couldnt resist putting our feet in. Mandy and I got filmed on American tv and Dale walked up with a pint of pims for us. We looked hot! Later that ... read more

We stayed with Cillian my bro in Wimbledon after we arrived from Jersey and as we had nothing to do the next day we decided to chance our luck with getting into see some games at Wimbledon. I´ve always wanted to do it and we really had nothin else pressing! Having been advised to get up at Sparrow´s, we decided to ignore all advice and mosey on down at 9am. when we got the near the gate, I could see about 50 people or so waiting to get in and a few more stolling over the bridge. "you see" i said to Matt, "there was no need to queue at all hours after all" . Matt looked dubious but humoured me. We couldn´t see where to get in and join that little group and then we ... read more
