Arrival

Hey everyone,

We've ARRIVED!!!! Yay, I'm happy to report that we are safe and enjoying what London has to offer. We arrived four days ago. We had quite the first day! After getting in at 7:00AM, we were detained at customs for a medical check. Bhahaha, the doctor literally looked at us, said we looked healthy and then sent us on our way. After that we dragged our 60 pound snowboard bag, backpacks, and other miscellaneous items through the airport to the overlander train. Well we found ourselves in a 'bit' of a situation. At one of our transfers Meg's got on the train (with all of the purses and her backpack) and the doors quickly CLOSED, seperaing the two of us!!!!!! Yup, that's right Megan was on one train with a ton of bags and Laura was left on the platform with only the snowboard bag and her backpack. No worries, we found each other 1/2 hour later. YAY! What a first day in London, woops 😉

We were warmly welcomed at Meg's university friend's (Lex) house in London. That night we decided to forget that we were completely jetlagged and headed straight to Beer Fest! We sure proved to them that Canadians could keep up (drinking wise). We sampled numerous types of beers from around the country, as we had come to realize that the ciders tasted like crap.

Our last few days have been great. It turns out that Lex is quite the tour guide! He's toured us well through both the city and pub scene 😊 Great guy! We had quite a day checking out the Camden Market. Honestly there are no words to describe it, you'll have to check out our photos.

This morning we also decided to foolishly sign up for 10 sessions of Bikram Yoga. We definately sweated out the last three days of drinking.

Anyways, here's to the beginning of our new adventure!
