Can you see my dessert? Chocolate cake and a pear on top, interesting and yummy. It was a nice time hanging out with my aupair friend. Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I updated my blog but to be very honest, nothing too exciting has happened until this week!
Life was as usual, basically getting the kids off to school, breakfast, lunches and then picking them up in the afternoons. I do the usual supper, homework help, tidy in the house, etc. If I don't babysit, I do 2 hours of cleaning during the day.
I have learned how to use the cash register at the charity shop now so hopefully next Tuesday I will get to do it all day that i am there because the normal lady is away. I have really enjoyed the training for the First Offender's panel. For whatever reason, I expected a lot of things to be a certain way for panel meetings but have learned that all kinds of people and attitudes are shown. Not a huge surprise but something I needed to learn apparently. i have a ton of reading to be completed in the next couple of days! It's not really exciting and I look forward to getting into the real thing, scenario's are an easier way of understanding the paperwork. I am not

The day after snow...had to get a picture! It was chilly that day but not as bad as the other days I've endured! sure if we will be doing any scenario 's for our training but anyhow, it's a full on day because we train 9:30 am until 4pm each Saturday for 6 weeks. I will miss 2 sessions while Richard is here but so far, they were fine with that. I will have to do 1 panel per month after being trained but I hope to do more than that. It's going to be great for my experience with youthwork.
I am still hitting the gym really hard, 4x/week. I love my Body Pump class, probably going to do that 2x/week at some point because it is a crazy good workout. I love the trainer as well, she's really helpful and challenging. I had to take different classes this week as I had all evening classes with the kids being home every day from school. Yesterday I had water aerobics with a different trainer and man, was it crazy! The other class is a good workout but this was even better. WE had to lean against the pool wall and lift our selves out of the water over and over and over. My arm muscles are definately getting more defined, not
huge or anything but hopefully I'll get that cool muscle look. I can't explain it in this blog but you might know what I mean. Anyhow, I have body pump tonight, did spin class on Monday night. Spin is a great workout as well but I want to work on my weaker muscles (arms, abs, etc.).
My friend Kate is going back to Hungary and the new aupair has arrived. It is kind of sad as we really hit it off and enjoyed our times to talk about the kids, etc. She aupairs for 3 kids, aged 9, 5 and 3. Alex and Rhiannon are friends with the older 2 which is another bonding thing. The new girl is Gabby, (Gabriella) from Hungary, 20 yrs. So, we should have fun together but she's very quiet so far. I suppose it is a really new experience and she doesn't know English well yet. ANyhow, I got to go out for dinner with Kate one night which was fun. Also, we went to see Brideshead Revisited, an English "film". It was quite neat, lots of history to learn over here!
I also spent some time with Bianka, the Romanian aupair. We went out for dinner as well so I now know a couple restaurants that have good food. Yay. Bianka is sweet to hang out with and quite a bit like me, she also speaks English fluently which helps in the communication area.
So, as mentioned, the kids are off school this week so the days have been quite long. I get up around 8am, start work at 8:30 and finish at 6. It isn't a horribly long day but these ids can be really argumentative about anything and everything which drives me crazy. With that being said, the week has gone by reasonably fast so far. Tomorrow is halloween and we are going to Stonehenge/Longleat with Lynne, it should be a more relaxing/fun day.
On Monday, Lynne's friend Sally came over with her 2 little kids. It was a full day and we spent a bit of time at Swan Lane park which got the kids out of the house for a little while. Monday night I had spin class and then went to Hannah's house to have dinner. It was a nice time and I got caught up with her, Chris, her sisters, rooomate and niece.
On Tuesday, I took the kids to the Science Museum which was pretty interesting. Iam not really into museums but it was alright and that is what the kids wanted to do. They had a fun time playing at "Launchpad" and after a big day out, we came home tired! I went to Alpha which was on prayer. It was cool as usual but a few people from our group were missing this week, apparently it is vacation time for everyone but me! Lol, I suppose the other aupairs and parents are still at work though. I now understand parents' frustrations about school vacations. After the course was over for the evening, I walked outside to find that it was SNOWING! Yeah, lots of snow. It was so exciting. I was very pumped and surprised that their winter looks like ours at home. Amusing. So, after getting home I got out my camera and did a little video to show everyone.
Check out www.youtube.com, "wonstable" to see my trip videos, including the snow one.
Wednesday we went to High School Musical 3 at the theatre (cinema) nearby. We enjoyed some candies (sweeties) during the movie (film) and that killed a few afternoon hours. I have come to quite enjoy the High School Musical series which made it a more fun experience for us. Alex wasn't stoked but he ended up liking it more than Rhiannon I think.
Thursday, another easy day at home. Alex went to football and Rhiannon and I hit the shops to do a bit more of my Christmas shopping. 9 more days and Richard is here! Wow, it's crazy to think it's come so fast!
I have to run and make dinner now but thought I'd keep you all updated. Will write when some news comes up. Hugs! Chloe

Hi Chloe
It's been a long time since I dropped you a note. You are doing so many things and seeing so many fantastic places -- you're tiring me out just reading them. Good for you and keep on sending out your cheery blogs. Love you a bunch, your Godmother.
