Hi, back again We arrived in Munich on Tuesday en route to London and spent 3hours waiting for our connecting flight. Because of the debacle with the luggage we had to go through immigration to collect our bags, recheck our bags and then back through immigration to catch our flight. PITA. We found a seat and that's when Gaynor realized she could not find her glasses. An extensive search failed to find them, our only thought they were on the plane we left. We contacted Tabitha who got her an appointment at a Specsavers nearby our hotel. Here we are in London, Got to Heathrow at 11.30am and got a cab to our hotel. staying in Brick Lane at the Arbor (http://www.arborcity.co.uk/ ) . Hace unos días recogi el visado que me permitirá buscar trabajo en Sudáfrica. Si el visado me era denegado nuestro viaje por África sería un poco más complicado, más que nada porque no estaría muy claro que haríamos después. Emigrar a Sudáfrica no es fácil, y no me refiero a que no es un país barato, a que el crimen es ciertamente preocupante, o que el paro está al nivel de España. Si digo que no es fácil es porque conseguir un visado para buscar trabajo legalmente en el país no está abierto a todo el mundo. Si quieres trabajar en Sudáfrica, una opción es que una empresa sudafricana te haga una oferta de trabajo, pero con la condicion de que tú todavía no estés en sudáfrica. I left for London from Boston at 8pm Tuesday evening. It is now 3:30pm London time (10:30am Rhode Island time) and I still have not gotten a wink of sleep! The flight over here was a piece of cake! The sun was setting when we left, and it was already sunny when we approached London. Everyone arrived and met up as planned. We quickly made our way to the Tube Station at the airport and headed to Liverpool Station. It was about a 45 minute train ride and as I was about to exit the Tube....a British woman voice came over the loud speaker and said "mind the gap"....basically telling passengers to watch their step because there is a huge gap between the train and the landing! ... read more
