This was orginially in front of St. Martin's Church marking the spot where Edward I's wife's body was laid before her funeral. Then it was moved to this spot for the road and has a tube, train and bus station named for it

Enjoy your time!
I have no idea who you are, and you're probably thinking who's the wacko but live each day to the fullest while you are there. Originally from Iowa, I lived at the Metrogate for a semester in '97. Living in London gave me the travel bug and after my return, I switched my major to international mgmt, added a 2nd major in Spanish, went to Spain for a semester and met my future husband! Who knows what the future has in store for you! In preparing to go back to visit his family, we decided to take a stay-over in London so I was looking up my old stomping ground and came across you. You'll learn a lot about the world while you are there, and a lot about yourself! Anyway, just wanted to tell you to live it up and have the time of your life!
