Well I thought I'd split this blog into two as this one is more about what feels like an epic journey home. I'd booked on the last shuttle bus from the hotel at 6.40pm, I realised this was very early but the options were to sit about in bars on a Friday night in the sweltering heat until late and I figured the best option was to sit about in the airport where I could read my book and keep cool until it was time to go. All very well but the airport is massive and even as the night got later it was getting busier and busier. The noise levels were really starting to get to me and I was tired and getting a little bit grumpy. I was so early that my flight wasn't ... read more

Just about to leave the house. Have probably packed waay too much and my case is a bit heavier than I was hoping for. I feel physically sick and I'm shaking like a leaf, but apart from that, all is well. I think I might be a bit mad to do this and all the "take care" and "be careful" warnings are beginning to get to me. I wish I wasn't getting the tube now, should have taken up Sophia's offer of a lift to the airport. Silly me. Anyway, next update should be from Bangkok. 'Citing.... read more

I don't have too much to report on my blog this week, but I've committed to writing it every week, so here it is. Christ, next week is December, its christmas. Not only has two months since I got home from my trip passed at a pace of like Mach 2, but the anniversary of my departure, November 9, also came around quick. On that day last year, at 10am, I was packing my mochila (backpack in spanish) at my parents house and wondering about what i was going to see and do in my trip. This year, on the same day at this time, I was in a meeting in Regent Street with two company owners who were asking me how I would like to set up their publishing business. The juxtaposition of those two ... read more

Hello rumberos!!!! How is life?? I arrived to London on Monday after a nice trip from Valladolid. It was nice cause I met two guys, both very friendly and peculiar. Jack was from Detroit, he was 21 and was coming to London for two days, he did not have any luggage at all, just his t-shirt and his jeans, neither he has a place to crash of course, that for me was pretty impressive!!. I told him that the weather in London wasn't like in Spain and he replied me that he was from Michigan.... : ) I thought about taking him to my place.... you never know I migth be in a similar situation while travelling and this type of favours always come back. Unfortunately we had already a few people at home and I ... read more

Well helllooooo there! Gosh it certainly has been a long time, hasn't it? My last entry dates back to July two years ago. Much has happened since then and I will try and update you as well as I possibly can. *sigh*....Life is tought sometimes, and sometimes it can be a walk in the clouds. I wish there was an in between, instead of "when it rains it pours" kind of concept. My head is in the air, buzzing with things I want to do, people I want to see, places I want to go to, new friends I want to make. After travelling, there is no going back.... it's a drug, and it gets you hooked without you realising it. It's not until returning to everyday life that you start getting withdrawl symptoms and the ... read more

Leyton Orient Vs Gillingham. 7.45pm Ko. My first away trip of the season was spoilt by Matt Lockwood. Since when did u ever hear of a left back scoring a hattrick in 21 mins???? I was so miffed i almost didn't write this blog, but thought better of it fearing repercussions from the Random Army that is still growing! We skipped off work early, and drove up to Leyton Orient throught the Blackwall Tunnel. Willis was quick to tell me that she did not like this one as it was too tight and thougth we were going to get squashed! Never fear the Rover emerged unscathed!! Traffic was heavy gettin into Leytonstone, but once in we parked up just one street away from the ground!! Last space in the road. Then it was off to KFC ... read more

We were not too sorry to leave in truth. The endless drinking, the numbingly tedious hours of work. The whiff of public transport not only at rush hour but pretty much any time of day. While there is lots I miss it is pretty much good riddance for now. ... read more
