Lots going on still! Sadly there are no pictures allowed in the King Tut exhibit, the Tate Modern, or the Lion King production. Thusly, the pictures for this blog are limited!!! Monday was just a class day, then catchup on homework day. Tuesday we had class in the morning, but I got out early, around 1. James and I hopped trains to the 02 dome down by the Thames in North Greenwich. They have the "King Tut" exhibit there, and both James and I are interested in Egypt. While I have seen most of the King Tut stuff, he has not, and I sure don't mind seeing it all again. That was pretty neat, and we enjoyed it, though it would have been nice if they had had more in the collection. We hopped trains back, ... read more

We sprent the first four days of our trip in London. The temperature was betwen 18-20oC most days. It was cool but manageable. We saw Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, Tower of London, St Pauls Cathedral to name a few. We went to Madam Tussauds Wax Museum which we all loved. Rachael and Jarryd had their photo taken with The Pope, Justin Timberlake, Hitler and many more. Another highlight was going to the Tutenkhamen Exibition. This is only the 2nd time any of these artifacts have been on show and after this they will not be on display again.... read more

Regardless of my planning, and adding or dropping ohh and ahhing like museums or listening to street musicians, I do find myself with time on my hands; Too early to arrive, yet too late to explore a different street where Jack-the-Ripper may have wandered. This being winter in London means passing time is best done in a sheltered manner. I tend to forget to tote a book around, yet my camera is usually with me, and when bored or feeling uncomfortable I take out the camera check settings, take a few pictures, review the photos, change settings, and take some more pictures. Boring, yet better than sitting alone drumming my fingers. Some of my wait time is quite welcomed, and other times it is just an interlude between two more intriguing times. The photos in this ... read more

Well, this is my first travel blog, which is being written from my living room in sunny Eltham. Hopefully more glamorous locations will follow soon! Yesterday was my leaving bash, and thanks very much to everyone who came along to say goodbye and check that I really am going to leave the country as promised. Am feeling slightly delicate today, but being unemployed means that I can watch TV in my tracksuit bottoms all day which is the ultimate hangover cure. Hurrah! Will miss you all lots, but you can read about my adventures on this website, and I'll see if I can post some photos too. See you in 7 months! Anna x... read more

I spent a very pleasant weekend with the Miles-Kingston's in the Greenwich area, having been picked up from North Greenwich - another chance to check out the Millenium Dome, sorry O2 Arena, which had plenty of staff milling around - I think for the Prince concert - he's not "Squiggle" any more is he? We had a few nice walks around Greenwich Park... although the second ended with Sebby falling into the boating lake which wasn't so pleasant - all safe now though. I just had a thoroughly nice time, chilled out, and caught up on some sleep (and yes, sorry Tal for falling asleep on the Saturday afternoon... think the 4am internet sessions are catching up with me!).... read more
