Wow London was Amazing!

Well finally made it to London after at 16 hour flight and layover. Can't say anything good about the fight other than we arrived safely so I guess that is enough. Upon arriving I had to catch the underround train (The Tube) and then a bus to get to Leslie's house. She lives in an area that was heavily bombed during the war so ost of the places are not as old as many of the other places that we saw. Her apartment i very charming and she has a sall garden which in London that is pretty fantastic. The weather was grey but thankfully the rain stayed away and allowed us a lot of walking tie. Friday Nick arrived from Italy and we just sat around her flat for the evening and just got to chat and give the a chance to get to know each other. The rest of the weekend we spent walking, eating, walking, drinking, and walking soe ore. We had a great time and met soe of her dearest mates here in London. The city is filled with so much history it just blows my mind being from such a young country like the US. Didn't get to do everything we would have liked because of time but for the most part I really believe we got a nice taste of the south side of the Thames river.

Beautiful bridge! I guess this is the one that Arizona had thought they were buying but it is still here!

Just thought it was pretty. I guess they are renovating a lot of these old warehouses into high end condo's.

The Shard
A new building suppose to be the highest in London? Looks like a shard of glass!

Fish and Chips
This is called the George. This is a beautiful pub that Dickens and Shakespeare hung out in. Inside to dark for photos but very cool!

Top of the Tate Museum
We were able to go to the members viewing at the famous Tate Museum. Wow what a view!

St Brides
This is suppose to be where the idea of the tiered wedding cake comes from.

Black Cab
So cute these cabs here. Leslie and Nick sitting opposite of Maria and myself! Had to ride in on of hose taxis! too cute!

The Bin Shute
This allows upper flats to throw out garbage without having to climb all the stairs. They call the bottom floor the ground floor and the 2nd floor starts at 1 cute!

Sweet shops everywhere!

The ties square of London. Theaters and plays everywhere!

This near Buckingham Palace!

Olympic Countdown
Sits in this plaza counting down to the Olympics. I do not know how they are going to handle the influx of people! I mean it is a traffic jam now!

It is big and of course lots of people around taking pic's

The London Eye
Just Amazing but you won't catch me in it. Takes 45 minutes to go all the way around! Yikes
