Today we slept in until 8 or so. We had a small snack, then Jop drove Susan and I to Susan's Aunt Mary and Uncle Dennis' house, in Uxbridge. Mary is Susan's maternal aunt. We got there about 10:45 and had coffee and a nice visit. They live in a nice area, further out from London. The house was built in 1931. While we were there we looked at many family photographs and Dennis showed us his Olympic torch. He was a torch bearer at the 1948 London Olympics.

After our visit we left for the Italian restaurant where we all had lunch (Rucola, in Uxbridge). There was Mary and Dennis, Susan and I, Carol Ann, Jop and the three kids (Jacob, Lavinia and Harry), Greg, Margaret, and their son James. It was a very nice lunch. Susan was fine this morning, but suddenly when we got to the restaurant she wasn't feeling well at all, had bad stomach cramps and had to run to the bathroom. Luckily this passed quite quickly and she was able to enjoy lunch. We all enjoyed a long leisurely lunch accompanied by a few glasses of wine and good conversation. Susan really enjoyed seeing

members of her family who she had not seen for a very long time (and some she was meeting for the first time. I, of course, was meeting them all for the first time).

After we returned to Carol Ann's, we (Carol Ann, Susan, Lavinia and I) went for a walk around the neighbourhood. They live in a really great area, within walking distance to all kinds of shops and restaurants, and the tube stop is nearby as well. It was another lovely sunny warm day. We took pictures of the abbey just across the street - St. Benedict's I think it's called. It was very nice inside. We stopped for a cold drink at one of the pubs, but I just had a coke as I was still full from our big lunch. We watched some TV with the kids, and had an early night since we will have an early start tomorrow. Our alarm is set for 5 am, and we will leave at 6. The tour should take around 9 hours. Hopefully the weather will continue to be nice, but we'll take the umbrella just in case. We might to go Harrod's after the tour - Susan wants to go there. Looking forward to another fun day of exploration in London tomorrow.
