Well lets get this thing on the road, if only for me to see if its worthwhile carrying on with! Its a bit pre-emptive as we still haven't even booked the tickets yet, waiting on some last minute dental treatment to confirm everything is ok to go. Today has been a plethora of excitement for me working with CSC, its now day 2 and I have still yet to do fuck all - at least today we mangaed to get some sort of access to our PCs which was an improvement on yesterday so some very important surfing and emailing got completed. Soon all this will be a thing of the past and I will be on a beach somewhere hot and work will seem like a distant memory :-) So lets see how this thing ... read more

My companies Xmas party was at a club called Home on Old Street, North London. Awesome place, very trendy and the best part about it was that it was an open bar!! I managed to get Mike and Ryan on the guest list and the three of us set off to take full advantage of the 8 pound cocktails. It was so nice going to a bar in London and simply ordering what I wanted and not having to pay. Brought back memories of Davis. ahhh. We had an awesome time, all my co employees were out in full force dressed to impress. Earlier in the day we had had a rally in Coventry which was really cool. Just a big pump up before ending the year. We all got to dancing by the end of ... read more

I managed to finish my Christmas shopping ready to send back to NZ on Monday plus book our New Years trip to Edinburgh for the Hogmanay Festival. Monday night I was back at Bar Salsa, and convinced Klaus to come and check it out as well. I started looking for a new flat to live in, as our current flat will be renovated and we have to move out by 12th January. However, I have not found anything promising yet. I received a call from out client at Thames Water on Wednesday asking for the Specification Document, associated plans and drawings by the end of the day! (A big ask!) So I had a busy day ahead of my with my job manager being away. I got home on Thursday to find Scott telling me that ... read more

Worked out in Hatfield on friday night in Hertfordshire, so far away but I made four sales! I was so so so so excited to get back to Clapham because I was seeing two wonderful people for the first time in a really long time. First off old Micheal Joseph (Pepe) actually did make it to London!! Nahh, I knew he was going to come - us boys from The Lands stick through thick and thin. Troyis and the rest of you BOJAYS we are eagerly awaiting your arrivals!!! I first met up with my dear friend Becca/Sheila at the Clapham Common tube stop. She is a great girl except for the fact that she is Australian, I do understand that this was not of her own doing for she had no say about where she ... read more

The great British tradition of Halloween was in full swing down in South London. Not wanting to put the effort into looking for a costume (or wanting to spend the squids) I opted for the tried and trusted Black bag approach with 3 holes. Very good. I then added a father xmas hat, slippers, some nudity, and shades to bring the idea full circle. And boy was it a triumph! Loopy, myself, hannah and ross all started hitting the bottle sometime around sometime. Seeing as though Mish Mash(where we live) was throwing the party we did not have to travel too far at all. Had some good laughs and all that and then sometime later we 'progressed' to The Artesian Well a few blocks up the road. I knew my mate Warren worked there (even though ... read more

Hello everyone. I've had a few recent reminders that my blogs have died off since I've moved to London. While London is still new & exciting for us & we are doing loads of touristy things, I must say that it's not as interesting writing about work than some remote village or getting nearly run over by 8 million motorbikes (Ho Chi Minh of course). I really enjoy the 'slices' of life that a couple of friends have provided in emails and letters - as they remind me that everything is going along so nicely at home. So in return I'll endeavour to give you a wee insight as to what it's like over here. The bad news here is that I think we have seen the end of our wonderful record breaking summer ;-(. It's ... read more
