Awake at 05:30 for a breakfast of croissants and coffee from 7/11 up the road.
Get all of our stuff up together, check out and by 06:30 we are sat in a taxi on our way to the airport. Roads are very quiet this morning and by 07:15 we are at Suvarnabhumi.
Fortunately check-in opens early and we can drop off our suitcases.
Jai's daughter comes to say goodbye and to pick up the keys for the house as she will probably be going for the Thai new year, Songkran, holiday in April.
The airport is busy but for a change there are also lots of people working and it doesn't take long to pass through security and immigration and by 09:50 we are seated in the departure lounge with a box of orchids to take back with us.
Everything goes smoothly and we board BA010 and take off about 10mins after scheduled at 11:15.
Not bad flight and we arrive at London Heathrow T5 about 17:30.
Transfer to the central bus station where the cold air soon starts to hit us. Hadn't given a thought to it being Easter Bank Holiday weekend so am surprised to see that nearly all coaches are running 2hrs+ late due to build up of traffic on the motorway. Our 20:20 coach arrives about 22:00 but the driver makes up for lost time by putting his foot down and gets us back to Longlevens about 24:15.
