and getting pumped up for the 20 something hour flight ahead - Bris-> Singapore -> Dubai -> Heathrow.
Well finally back home and as promised, some pics.

Had an unbelievable time on the trip - will write about the pics individually due to being awake for 36 hours straight.

According to my trusty travel diary, which I'm glad I took due to so much happening in the last month, and quite possibly a few million braincells killed along the way, we arrived in London at 12pm on 2/5/08. I'm led to believe we got straight on the tube (awesome transport system I might add) and legged it pommy-prat style to Russell Square to the Royal National accommodation. We walked around for a couple of hours but it started raining and we were pretty buggered by that stage and crashed for the night.

The next day we did the tourist thing, went for a spin on the London Eye - we had a good clear day so that was lucky, walked past Big Ben and towards the change of the guard. We had a squiz at Buckingham Palace and met up with the Queen for a coffee and some freshly baked scones served on hand-painted perrywinkle royal doulton fine china. Lovely morning, but we had a tight

schedule and food wise, it was bugger all, so we got some real lunch at Piccadilly Circus, and apparently it was lunch time for about 35 million other Londoners. 5 hours and a stale cheeseburger later, we went down to Leicester Square for a gander at the shops, on to peaceful and packed Hyde Park full of locals kicking soccer balls around with their kids and crazy roller skaters with too much spare time on their hands, and feet POW! Oh and we also saw a squirrel type creature. We then had a look at Harrods, the most overpriced store in London - where we bought some spirits off a lovely french girl (wee wee) before we tubed it back from Kinghtsbridge to Russell Square for the night for a few local ales (speckled hen - crap taste and warm) and pizza hut for dinner.

Enjoy pics more to follow!
