Lavendar fields forever
Lavendar farm in The Cotswolds Just a few quick photos of some little country excursions taken recently.
Okay, I admit it. This is the worst summer weather we have ever experienced but we are determined not to let it put us off the UK! Some days it has been beautiful and we have been able to have some great walks.
We have done lots of Thames walks, a short walk at Virginia Water Lakes and have also been out to The Cotswolds again.

There, it's out in the open now. Just wanted everyone to know..
We did the loop around Bibury / Ablington and only managed to get lost a few times. It was a very nice walk that took us past some of the most beautiful English cottages imaginable and across open farmland. With a few detours, you can stretch the walk out to about 15 km.
The Cotswolds are so stunning, like going back in time. It's little wonder that the area is so popular. (Although, in saying that, we didn't pass another single person on our walk. Plenty of horses and cows but the humans were generally

We also went to another lovely village called Snowhill and visited Snowshill Manor in the afternoon.
We have also done a day trip out to Petworth House in West Sussex and enjoyed the grounds and the amazing art collection inside.
