It was 10am Sunday morning. There was a jetty, sand on the beach, sunshining, the lifeguards were on duty and there were even surfers but there were no Nippers this Sunday on Bournemouth beach.

We were blessed with a warm and bright Remembrance Day in Bournemouth, a southern English seaside holiday town. It had been nearly two weeks since we had seen the ocean and it was refreshing for all of us, though there was no thought of going for a swim.

Not quite Catho, more like St Kilda and Port Phillip Bay with a restaurant at the end of the pier and the little coloured beach huts by the water. You can see why the Brits love to escape here.
