Hi Again We went to Salcombe the other day,as the weather was going to be beautiful and sunny. Salcombe is a popular resort town in the south Hams district of Devon,the town close to the mouth of the Kingsbridge Estuary,it lies within the south Devon area of outstanding natural Beauty. We had a fun day out talking to the locals,there is only one way in and another out as the roads are so narrow!! It was mid term break and very busy. From the 2nd June to the 5th June England will be celebrating the Queens Jubilee. Our 2nd house sit in Hereford was cancelled at the last moment,I applied for another one that day and we got it ,with the exact dates we wanted,so on the 22nd June we go to Wiltshire,Calne. 18thAugust Plymouth to Salcombe 21nm Had a good sail to Salcombe and when we got there, it was completely crowded (well in our eyes it was but everyone was saying it was quiet). We had to raft up to another boat - sharing the same mooring. In the busy times they get up to 4 boats rafted up on the same mooring. The town was a bit busy for us, so after a quick explore, we then got in the Zodi and explored up river. The boat next to us had two very cute Yorkshire Terriers (now I want one when we finally settle back into a house) They were just soooo cute.
