Finally! Here I am again getting ready to embark on a mission and a half on the same bike. modified Tiger racer/tourer. This time, I am heading East! Hungary (Budapest & Ozora) pretty much ready to go. just finishing off one more week of work and I am free! I am leaving on 22nd July. Step 1 of the tour, I only have 11 days to get to Hungary before Ozora festival starts so there is going to be a fair bit of 'cheating' involved starting at day one. because the roads are so crap in England for cycling and I'm pushed for time. This is just a test message to get the blog up and running. I’m currently stopping at my Mum’s place in Haslington, getting the final few things prepared for our little trip. From the expansive list of essential travel items I had collated, I seem to be a compass short. Not sure if I need a compass; I’m not sure if I do get a compass that I’ll ever actually use it, but it’s on my list so I’m going to purchase the afore mentioned compass tomorrow morning. EUR-UK-England 3 July 2004 Leave King's Lynn in the morning for Crewe, Cheshire. Celebrated my Nana's Birthday in style. Finished the meal with a "pudding" (ie dessert). Handily I met most of my relitives in one place and time, very efficient. A little about Crewe. -Most people only change trains here. -a Rolls-Royce factory is here, although it only makes Bentley's now. -Crewe Alexander FC is in the First Divison. -Crewe park is very nice, lots of gardens, a bit of a forest, a pond with paddle boats and "funny canadian canoes", and a lot of canada geese (!) 4 July Crewe to London Had a walk around Crewe Park in the morning then took the train to London Euston.
