Just an hour north of London, Cambridge is of course most famous for its university (founded around 1209, 2nd oldest after Oxford) which is composed of 31 colleges. King's College Chapel is probably the most famous of the university's buildings in Cambridge. Access to many of the colleges is prohibited or severely restricted for tourists. Also famous in Cambridge is punting-- standing on a flat boat, using a long pole to push the boat along the River Cam.
