Christmas in London
Ice skating at Somerset House in London Hi Rachel here, interrupting our African adventure stories (being sent months late - sorry) to say a quick hello for Christmas.
Christmas is only a few days away, which is very exciting. We got into the Christmas spirit with a visit to Munich on the first weekend of December, where we visited our dear friend Vicki. We had a day skiing and looked around the beautiful Christmas markets. Of course I started playing carols in November and am very much enjoying the nights closing in, the Christmas decorations in the shops, the carol singers and just the buzz of Christmas in Winter here. We will be spending Christmas and New Year with our families and are looking forward to it.
I am also very excited about starting a new job as a Year 5 Teacher at a lovely, small village school in Beaconsfield (approx 20 mins drive from Maidenhead). Simon is into the whole routine of the commute into London, though every day his walk to his office from Oxford Street tube takes longer and longer, as the Christmas crowds get larger and larger!!

Visiting Vicki in Munich in December. forward to getting the doggies over - so I think 2008 will be a great year, of course there are many things we miss about Oz - family, friends, and the weather! Yes, for those of you not aware, we are planning to stay over here for an extra few years as we not only having fun, but financially its a good move also.
We will be thinking of you all at this special time of year, have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and we wish you much happiness for 2008!
