Over Night Bus Route

After approximately a four and a half hour train journey from Lauterbrunnen we arrived into Zurich. Now every person we have spoken disregards Zurich as a drab, uninteresting financial district hence why we did a whistle-stop tour of the place. We found Zurich to be contrary to this, it had a cool continental cafe bar culture, a very relaxed atmosphere, and a lovely harbour. We only had a few hours to potter around the town before our 12 hour overnight bus to Zagreb in Croatia. So evidentially Zurich was our last port of call in Switzerland, again it is a very very cool town, we have loved Switzerland but it has been an expensive stop on our trip.

So the bus.....this bus was so odd, we could not quite figure out what nationality these people were or where they were going with very little possessions. We had our second random picnic place - this time on the bus, we were the only people on the bus drinking wine. We were thankful for it, it was much needed as we were made to listen and even watch a Michael Winner film (no wonder this dude does car insurance adverts now) the film was rubbish, total total rubbish. We could not believe someone had taken time to actually translate it!!!! The bus journey was not made better when the spawn of Satan (a little annoying boy) joined us just before the boarder at Italy and sat behind us ahhhhhh. This little, excuse our French, shit, proceeded to run his toy car up and down Tony’s chair head rest at 3am until he FINALLY went to sleep at about 5am......

Our bus did stop at a rest stop in Slovenia but our rules state you must have a beer to make it count, after no sleep and the devils child still playing with his toy car we gave it a miss.

48 hours of not washing and 12 hours on an overnight bus we finally made it into Croatia and the capital Zagreb!!!
