On about our third day on the ship, the captain announced that the port of Stockholm had denied entry to the Queen Victoria. He sounded a bit exasperated, but I learned something that I hadn't known. Cruise ships publish their itineraries, sometimes hoping that they will be able to get into port. When they can't, they need to scramble to find one that will take them. Luckily, we were able to get into Nynashamn, a port about an hour outside of the city. What was exciting about this change was that the ship was not able to use a berth. hahó hétfőn kicsit befáradtam, mert bmi hosszú nap volt, estig ott okosodtunk, jött 2 orvos peruból meg vmi nagy feminista arc romániából, temesvárról. idegesítő, hogy mindenki elalszik a másik előadásán, persze a saját hangját meg szereti hallani :)) meg csomó házifeladatot kaptunk, amiből egész jól felkészültem, de mire rám került a sor már mindenki teljesen bealudt, uh jobbnak láttam csak 2 mondatot mondani... :( aztán hazafelé kamionok majdnem nekemjöttek, meg apró bosszúságok, de itthon corridor-vacsi volt, kimentünk egy rétre bbq-zni, aranyosak voltak a folyósóbeliek, aztán játszottunk ilyen mostmutasdmeget filmcímekkel, ami elég érdekes lett, egyrészt mert azért nem mindenkinek tökéletes az angolja, másrészt volt egy csomó kínai, akik vhogy teljesen máshogy gondolkodnak, nem is beszélve arról, hogy nem igazáb vannak képben a mozikkal...de éppen ezért vicces is volt :)) ma meg s... read more

hmmm- nem túl változatos program, de nagyon pihentető... délben ingyenpalacsinta, aztán petrosszal el akartunk bicózni vmi tóhoz de aztán kicsit messzinek tűnt, uh minigolfozás lett belőle, aztán tövábbi görög pajtik csatlakoztak és estebédeltünk meg moziztunk vmi langymeleg szirupot, de ez volt a házim...mm hogy nézzek meg egy filmet és elemezzem szociális szemszögből.... és csomó csomó bicót láttam a folyóban :)))) jaaa megpróbáltam feltenni egy videót, lehet, hogy nem sikerül, de ha igen: az elején mindenki bemutatkozik aztán fényképek vannak, breon csinálta a hétvégén :)))... read more

Lovely city albeit really, really expensive! Lovely gardens to walk around & the modern museum proved quite funny & entertaining. Stopped for a coffee here & felt quite 'fashionable'.... read more

We continue to be extremely lucky with the weather! It is hot and sunny again today. We had a barbecue at Dennis and Peter's host family last evening. It was a beautiful night by the lake. We were comforted to know that even in Sweden they have mosquitoes. The team met this morning for canoeing with our host families at a lake in town. We left from a scout camp and paddled to a quiet spot on the lake. We enjoyed a cookout of hotdogs, sausages and potato salad which the team even helped to cook. The team commented more than once that it just like being back in Ontario or Minnesota...(but probably not North Dakota!) We were able to swim and enjoy the sun.
