Summary of the last six hectic months

Hi all of you. We have over the last couple of months been very busy travelling the World so we haven't been able to write much. This is going to change now. We have so much we want to tell you about and we hope we will have time to put our stories and our photos onto the blog.

We have been travelling in many exciting and exotic countries since we were in Rome over Christmas. Well, you already know about our visit to the Star Wars exhibition. We wrote about that a few months ago. We are still today all excited from seeing and talking to Yoda. Unfortunately we don't have any updates on when we can start going to Yedi school. Yoda still haven't called us to tell us when we are ready to become padawans. Wonder why he waits? He promised to call us...

Apart from the Star Wars exhibition we have over the last months been to the USA, France, Peru, Ireland and Russia. We will tell you all about the adventures on these journeys in future blog entries. We are currently working on those. But now

we want to tell you about some other things that has been going on in the last half year or so. It is not really travel tales so if you were hoping for that we are afraid we will make you a bit disappointed. But we thought you might want to know a little about our family and friends and that is what we will write about this time. We will also tell you a little bit about what we do in between our adventures in foreign lands.

First we have some family news. In April we were happy to welcome some new friends to our family. They came with us from our journey in the USA. Some of them stayed only for a few days because they were on their way to be adopted by other families here in Sweden. But some of these friends are still staying here with us and we think that is really good fun. We are two very social toys and we just can't have too many friends. Now we have some more! In May another friend came and joined the family. She immediately found herself a special friend in the house. We

come to that later.

The friends we brought from the USA are Mr Bookworm, Mr Salmonella, Mr Mad-Cow Disease, Mr Polio, Mrs Brain Cell and her three kids, the MRSA Twins, another member of the Lyme Disease Family (We have had two members of that family here before. They are a big family) and Mr Malaria's brother. We know that these friends of ours don't look like toys usually do but that is not a problem for us. We are not the slightest bit xenophobic. We happily welcome these toys to our humble home. If they want to stay for a few days only they are welcome to do so, if they want to stay for years they may do that too.

We have mentioned before that we have many friends living here with us. We would like to introduce one friend who lives here - Teddy the Terminator. Dad has given him that name and it is a joke. Teddy has only one hobby - sleeping. He sleeps almost always and has been known to sleep at any time of the day and at the weirdest places. Just because he sleeps so much dad thought it was fun to give Teddy a name that does not reflect his personality. So he was named Teddy

the Terminator. Dad is always so ironic. We don't really think it is a good joke, dad's jokes are by definition not fun, but Teddy doesn't seem to be bothered. As we said he sleeps all the time and he is content with doing that and can't be bothered with what people think about him.

Teddy the Terminator is very nice and we like him a lot. Here we have some gossip for you - Teddy the Terminator has a girlfriend. Teddy has lived with us for over a year. In May this year a new toy came here to live with us. Her name is Teddy the Devastator. And yes, you guessed right, dad has named her too. Just like Teddy the Terminator Teddy the Devastator sleeps a lot. No, make that "sleeps almost always". They are a perfect match and they sit on the couch together and sleep all day. They are so cute and such a nice couple. But we don't think they know themselves that they are a couple. They sleep so much that they probably don't know that they are in love with each other. But as long as they are happy, and they

are very happy, we think it is good.

A few months ago we received an email from one of the Lyme Disease Twins. This is starting to become a bit complicated so we probably have to clear things out now. About a year ago we were visited by a group of friends. Among them were the Lyme Disease Twins and also Mr Salmonella. This year after we came back from the USA in April we had more friends visiting us. Among them were a close family member to the Lyme Disease Twins and the brother of Mr Malaria. In this email miss Lyme Disease told us that she lives in Gothenburg with her mother. She says Gothenburg is a very nice city and we believe her. We have been to Gothenburg several times and it is a nice city and Jean-Claude has even lived in Gothenburg for a while.

Miss Lyme Disease says that her mother is very nice and friendly. But when we were in Gothenburg ourselves in February we met both miss Lyme Disease's mother and her grandmother and we have a somewhat different opinion. Her grandmother was nice to us but it was a bit horrifying to meet

the mother. Miss Lyme Disease mother actually tried to eat us! Both mum and dad were with us and they made sure that miss Lyme Disease mother didn't take a bite out of us. But we got scared anyway. Mum explained that Miss Lyme Disease's mother is very young and tasting things is her way to explore the World. We still don't think that justifies her trying to eat us...

We now have to tell you that we have slept in a real royal palace! That was so cool! This happened in April this year. Dad took us to this palace north of Stockholm. It is an old and quite small castle that today serves as a conference centre. It is not really right to give dad all the credit for this. Everybody who knows dad know that dad would never pay to sleep a night in a royal palace. Dad would probably have been happy to sleep in a dormitory in a youth hostel or in a cave or something. Dad was visiting this castle for a job conference. So it was thanks to dad's boss we had the chance to sleep in a royal palace.

It

was good fun to visit a castle but we didn't get to see some of the things you expect in a palace. There were no ghosts to start with and we never met any king or queen. When we came there we were sure we were going to be greeted by at least Queen Padmé Amidala. But there were only servants in the palace when we were there. Queen Amidala was probably busy elsewhere in the galaxy those days. Maybe next time she will be there.

This is not the only time this year we have visited a palace. One day in May we went with mum and dad to a special event here in Stockholm. It was called Secret Rooms. On this day a lot of places that normally are closed for the public are open and can be visited. Mum and dad took us to two palaces in Stockholm, two palaces we had never heard of before. Mum and dad had not heard of them either. From the outside they both look like ordinary houses but when you go inside you notice that they are more than just houses. They are richly decorated and you can see that they

have been home to very rich people. We wish we were rich and could live in a palace too.

Not only dad goes to conferences. In September mum went to a conference with her job. That conference was at a spa outside Stockholm.
Emma: "Only I could go with mum to this conference. It was so much fun travelling with only mum. You could say it was a mum and daughter bonding event. Mum explained that this conference was for girls only. But it seemed like other visitors to the conference centre didn't know that because there were several men there"
Jean-Claude: "It doesn't matter if I wasn't allowed to join you. The conference was at a spa, remember. How fun is it to be at a spa?"
Emma: "True, the spa wasn't very fun. Too wet for a toy! But at a spa you can also get massage and manicure. That is so good."
Jean-Claude: "Next time you and mum go to a spa I go with you. No matter if dogs are allowed or not. I'll skip the manicure though. You know, I want to be a cool toy and having a manicure would be a bad
