After our departure (Viola and myself) the crew of Dawnbreaker were as follows:
Lars - Captain
Uno, Urban and Thomas - First mate
Eva, Sanna and Pontus - deck hands
For the first time since our journey started, Dawnbreaker had a full crew + extras. Dawnbreaker has 5 places to sleep with extra if need be (3 extra), then it's the floor for the rest of the crew. So, I left Lars to look after so many members that to cook and keep everyone happy must of been some kind of miracle.
15th August Sunday
Longyearbyn to Pyramiden
Everyone on board decides, after getting sleeping arrangements sorted, that it would be nice to go somewhere before the Wedding arrangements which starts tomorrow (Monday) with a rehearsal at the Church for the Bride and Groom.
A short journey to the Russian Mine would be alright, time wise.
Departure 15:00 pm
After an hour with the motor the winds change and up go the sails for a wonderful sail to "The Pyraminden". Pyramiden is a Russian Mine that has been abandoned. The reason for it's name "Pyraminden" is because of the mountain which is behind the
mine, it looks just like a Pyramid.
Arrival 18:30 pm
Good sailing for most of the journey. On arrival 2 Russians come up to the crew and want 260 NOK before they are able to go ashore. The Mine had a fire long ago and everyone left in a hurry leaving what is left for visitors to explore.
Pyramiden - Longyearbyn
After exploring around the Mine and buildings that are left at Pyraminden we start our journey back to Longyearbyn for tomorrows rehearsal.
On our way, we take a look at through the binoculars at the "Swedish House on Kupp Thordsen Point" It was built in 1870 and is Svalbards oldest house.
01:45 am (Monday 16th August)
Dawnbreaker and crew arrive back in Longyearbyn tired but happy that they made the trip. The sun is shining still and the only thing to do is anchor in the Bay and creep into our beds.

Longyearbyn Chruch and reception Dinner after the Wedding.
16th August 10:00 am
The whole family Lindhé-Ohlsson (Thomas, Eva, Sanna and Pontus) leave to go to the Church. On
the way, Thomas has a surprise . Two friends, Anna and Roger (Bestman) have arrived to take part in tomorrows special day. After the rehearsal everyone meets up in the center of Longyearbyn for a good lunch at a place called "Basecamp". While sitting there someone remarks that it feels like sitting somewhere in Europe with the sun blaring down on them and not on an island that is suppose to be just above 0 degrees.
To be able to get any alcohol in Longyearbyn you have to have a paper from "Syslemannen" giving permission to buy it in the shop. Eva has one made out in her name. Everyone helps to get all the food and drink back to the boat ready for tomorrow.
TODAY'S THE DAY.
After 21 years together, Eva and Thomas are finally tying the knot. With all the crew from Dawnbreaker and friends Anna and Roger plus children Sanna and Pontus they take their vowes. Not a dry eye in the whole Church. The ceremony was wonderful. Sanna played the Wedding March at the beginning and later played and sang while Pontus played the guitar. Beautifully done and
lovely to hear. After the ceremony everyone went back to the boat for toasts and Champagne.
The Wedding dinner was at the Radisson. The waiter Peter, served a wonderful meal which included Duck and Chocolate Cake and alot of wonderful wine with each dish. Everyone had a good time and left very late to go back to the boat.
Thomas carries his (New) bride ever the threshold of their Suite, the rest is censured.
