So far Barcelona is my favorite. As usual I have to report that it is really beautiful. Our hotel room has a balcony that has an awesome view of the city.

Tonight we got a tour through downtown by the Barcelona GLS coordinator. We were reminded at least 10 times to keep our bags in front of us, touching our bellies with our hands covering them. I guess theft and pick-pocketing is really bad here.

We saw the Sagrada Familia (Holy Family), a huge church with the most amazing and complicated architecture. It has about 8 peaks and some biblical scenes and quite ornate decorations. And that's just the outside. We didn't go inside. There is a big celebration in Spain and we saw a parade and celebrations.

For dinner we searched and searched for the infamous Paella- a traditional rice dish. Ours had seafood and chicken. I peeled and beheaded my first shrimp. I also ate oysters and calamari for the 1st time. Not bad.
