VIGO - Spain

Today we docked at Vigo - Spain and as we didn't have a tour booked we set off to explore on our own. We started with a walk up the many steps

to the Monte Castro to take in the beautiful view over the picturesque harbour of Vigo. Lorraine, Craig, John and I set off. As usual LOrraine

and I wanted to look in the many shops so the boys enjoyed a coffee in a sidewalk cafe while they very patiently waited. We headed towards the

fish markets where there were many restaurants. Lorraine and I enjoyed spanish paella while the boys opted to go back to the boat and eat

pizza, drink & sunbake.

After boarding back on the boat we all met on the top deck to take in some long awaited warm weather and stayed up there until we sailed out of

Vigo on our way to Lisbon - Portugal to the sounds of Andre Bocelli playing.

LISBON - Portugal

Today we arrived in Lisbon to once again warm and sunny weather. We had a tour booked our first stop was Sintra where we visited the royal

palace of Portugal which was very crowded and nowhere near as spectacular as the ones visited in Italy. We grabbed a Portugese tart before we

boarded for our next stop "Cabo de Roca" the most western point of Europe where Portugal meets the Atlantic ocean. It was really windy so we

just took a quick photo then back on the bus to our next stop Cascais which was a little beachside town with beautiful beaches only 15kms away

but so much warmer, sunnier and no wind. When we arrived back on the boat we once again headed up to the deck to enjoy the hot weather. Every

night there is a different theme for dinner from somewhere in Italy tonight was Roma and we all enjoyed a beautiful sunset view.

Tomorrow we spend all day sailing towards Ponta Delgada - Azores - Portugal which is is a quarter of the way between Portugal and Bermuda.

ITINERARY CHANGE - Today we were informed by the captain that due to the hurricane around Bermuda we would divert to Boston instead.

We nowhave 4 days at sea before we reach Boston.
