Excellent 2nd floor room, really close to the river and town
We made it to Logrono in la rioja, planned to get another 25k today but it was a bridge too far! This morning we left Pamplona crossed into the citadel, took the bikes into an elevator to get to the ancient citade! Picked up the Camino and followed the walking trail up a very steep rough track through fields of wheat, barley, evening primrose and peas. At the top, in amongst the wind turbines we had a cup of tea enjoyed the views, then started a very steep, loose rock descent, navigating between the walking pilgrims; after a few chain incidents we made it to Puente la reina, then lunched in Estrella in the market square. Only 50 k of hills to go! Had some refreshing coffe in Los arcos and made it to Logrono, both of us knackered; with wind against and a late rain squall just before the end. Have an amazing twin room in auberge Santiago apostle, ate the 3 course set menu in the canteen with the other pilgrims all set for an early night; 10pm asleep
