Every Sunday El Rastro is a frenetic, bustling entity. Stretching down from Metro Latina to the Grand Arch of the "Ronda de Toledo", the vast mass of browsing tourists, rickety stalls and hard bargaining locals sprawls so far in every direction that it seems a disservice to label it a street market. One can get quite literally anything here; from Moleskin Notebooks, replica football shirts, variou... Read Full Entry

Post Script
For all thirty eight of you who read the last one, I know I am very far behind. Sorry. I'll have to go on a writing binge in an internet cafe somewhere and just bring everything up to date. The truth is I really do like writing these things, even if no one reads them, I don't care. But finding the time to actually write them takes a lot of energy and normally something gets in the way. These last few weeks I have been with people, so finding time has been even more difficult. When I get back to being lonesome I will be more productive. I am going to Morrocco tomorrow and I'm not sure what the internet situation is there. You may not here from me in a while.

Post Script 2
If anyone notices spelling/grammar mistakes anywhere, of whoich there are many, then let me know. Send me a message, I won't be offended. I'm planning to edit these things at some point. I am fairly certain I am an undiagnosed dyslexic as my spelling has hit a new level of awfulness so any clerical advice would be uesfull.

The Fame of Toledo
Hi James. Whilst in Reading last week we were talking about your escape from the world of nicknames - you don't even get called Jim or anything. Sorry, that was a bit off piste. The real reason i felt compelled to comment was that i had a thought as to why Toledo is full of shops selling weapons: Toledo weaponary is famous, no? It was renowned for producing swords and such. Check out this link: http://www.aceros-de-hispania.com/toledo-swords.htm Take care! Leo. x

Dyslexia
Don't kid yourself about dyslexia, how could you account for your voracious appetite for the written word. I would call it reluctant editing and it's not that bad, most people would see them as typos.

those photos of the bernebau look like they were taken from a blimp hovering over the stadium, quite amazing. there were usually at a least a couple of internet cafes in each place i went to in morocco.
