Thank goodness it cools down in the evenings in Madrid. It was 28 degrees with a breeze last night at around 10:30, and if you can believe it that felt refreshing. Sheila and Aron decided they'd best play like the locals so after their afternoon tapas, wandered the city for a while (note we should have been siesta'ing but never made it).

At around 10:30 started looking for dinner, and it took us until 11:30 to find an empty seat somewhere. Ate a meat and cheese platter (Aron ate most of a pig, Spanish style I believe) and then shared a salad. So much cheese, so much meat. So few veggies. The salad had a minimal amount of lettuce and greens, loaded with mozza (whole strips of bocconcinni), blue cheese, proscuitto, and the like. Need veggies or fruit...

Were sent upstairs by our great concierge Lucas, who told us the views of Madrid were stunning from the rooftop deck. Aron bought champagne (wanted cava, being that we're in Spain) and we sat out and watched the bustling square until almost 2AM.

Alarm went off at 730 today (19th) and Aron still lays in bed (almost 9!) as

Makes our eyes twitchy, as does the wall art which may induce seizures in some...
Sheila updates the blog. Enough of this, I say! Up he'll be getting. So until then, adios!
