It rained on and off most of the night but by early morning
it had stopped, although the sky is still overcast which I'm sure our friend Paul
was relieved about as it enabled him to finish packing away the last few things
into the van before hitching up. We said our farewells to them knowing we were
going to meet up with them again in the future like us they're always
travelling around and we get on so well.

Well so much for the forecast we had terrific storms last
night which kept us awake most of the night, and the day was no better being overcast
most of the time. The weather forecast tonight shows that the storm is in fact
still stuck well and truly over central Spain, with still more rain and
thunderstorms promised for the next 3-4 days.

A bright start to the day so we at least managed to spend
some time on the beach before having to make a rapid return to the site as the
clouds were beginning to look ominous, and a cool wind was getting up heralding
I suspect the onset of yet more rain.

Yet another day with overcast skies and little promise of
any improvement.

Lazy Les's missus fag ash Lil has returned from wherever and
so far all we've heard is her telling Les off for this that and the other. Everyday
Les has his lunch at 14:00 on the dot, and I couldn't help but notice that
there was no beer or wine with his lunch today (I wonder why).

It doesn't matter
what the weather's like everyday he has a proper English dinner, meat and two
veg with potatoes; I don't know how he can do it when it's been 22-25 oC
all I want is a salad, or something with rice or pasta, oh well each to their
own.

Watching the Spanish TV for the weather forecast there were
stacks of pictures sent in by viewers showing localised flooding, torrential
downpours, and fantastic shots of lightning strikes, the presenter went to to
say that up until 21:00 today they had registered 6111 lightening strikes in
Spain. The thing to remember is that
these storms have now been ongoing for 10 days with no sign of any let up and
are affecting the whole of Spain with the intermittent exception of the Eastern
and Southern coasts.

Once again there were thunderstorms and heavy rain last
night but we did manage some sleep.

Well if nothing else I'm getting through the books I brought
I've now read 10 plus all my magazines including all the ones Stephen &
Michelle brought out to me, weather permitting I'll probably go to the car boot
sale down at the harbour on Saturday to see if I can pick up a few more books
to keep me going.

The forecast was correct it's been a hot and sunny day so we
made the most of it and finally got to the beach by mid morning by the evening
time the wind had got up and it's turned noticeably cooler. The forecast for
tomorrow is pretty much rain all day again as the storm moves very slowly out
to sea.

Well the forecast as wrong thankfully and it's a nice hot
day with a pleasant breeze so it's down to the beach with another good book and
possibly a siesta.
