We have arrived in Tarragona. We had a very nice stay in Girona. Nice Hotel with a view on the plaza. We saw what there was to see in this wonderful place. We went to Perthus on the border to see if things were indeed cheaper but we found that it is not that cheap anymore as before. Not that busy either. The alcohol is cheaper as in the shops but the perfums just a very little bit. It was a nice daytrip and we had time. We did some shopping. Our car the Peugeot is just out and it has a lot of looks. Must say it is a beautiful car to drive completely automatic if you want it to be. We had a good run to Tarragona and made sure we fuelled on the way in. Very busy service station that has a big cafeteria with it that sells everything from food to liquors and beer all sorts of beer. We got to talk with a bloke behind the bar for it was lunchtime and they expect you to eat and not drink. But he supplied us with a drink and we had to sit at the bar for

having a drink in Perthus all the tables were set out for eating. He told us he liked the documentaries of Australia but would never live there. Too many snakes and spiders big ones as well. It was funny the way he went about that. Liz gave him a koala bear he stuck it to his shirt and walked around with that very proudly. WE continued towards Tarragona and finished on the market close to the Hotel. Problem was it was market day as well. It was just at the time that they were cleaning up that was lucky for I could manage to drive between the stalls and posts and park in front of the hotel. Liz was already there and had instructions. We had to unload the suitcases there and take the car somewhere else not that far away. We told him we wanted to see the room before we did all that. The room we suppose to have was not anything that was on the paperwork but in the end we finished up wit the required room. The problem was the hotel was sold and they were new owners that tried not to give what had booked. We agreed to this room

Service station at the Bar and on asking what the parking was like he looked at the car and told me big car garage small. They only speak minimal English. He gave us a map to find the place. He was right it was small. The garage has three floors down. The first one was not good not one place there would fit the car. We found a place two floors down that just fit the car. We walked back to the hotel to freshen up and have a look where we could eat later that night. The nice thing was opposite the hotel is a covered Mercado that sells everything as well there is a super market underneath. Magnificent we were all set. Found that night a nice place to eat tomorrow we would look further for other places, that would open up a bit earlier than 8.30 p.m. Liz does not like to eat that late. After we had breakfast the next day, breakfast was not to bad we set of to see the old Roman sides. This place was started by the Romans in 2nd century BC and was a stronghold between different places in Spain. Plenty of proof of that in
the sides covered all over Tarragona. The old walls are everywhere to see as well as an Am phi theater and a Roman Circus that we looked at. It is a big job climbing those enormous steps. The people in those days must have been giants. It is also possible we are a bit older than it could be the steps look bigger. In any case we did do it and were very happy to strike down at a nice cool place with a Mohito. That is a very cool drink made with a syrup and mint rum and more things that makes it a very nice drink. It is also a health drink. This made it a full day. Next is shower time, that will take us to 8 o'clock time for a meal. New restaurant that we saw on the big boulevard. It has an English menu so we could read what we will be eating. On asking the waiter if he spoke English the answer was NO do you speak Spanish I had to tell him I could say Good Night but that was all. We had a very nice meal with a nice waiter that had
