Barcelona Chocolate Museum
A chocolate statue of Ben Hur So getting to Barcelona was a problem. The French train union had been striking, and the morning we arrived at the Nice train station for a train to Barcelona, they told us the Nice train station was on strike. Fortunately, that means
ALMOST all trains... but not all. So we found a train to Marseille, which took us to Montpellier, which took us to Barcelona. Needless to say, it was a long ride. Barcelona is craaazzzyyy. I swear the clubs don´t get busy until like 2 or 3, and throughout the night and into the morning you can hear people outside. It´s fun when you´re out, but if you´re trying to sleep it can be annoying. Fortunately, we were usually out late and when we weren´t apparantley me and kev can sleep through most things - we were able to fall asleep fast and stay asleep.
So the big thing over here are these falafel places, one of the chains is called "Maoz." For the first few nights me and kev had a falafel every night. They are so filling and quite cheap. I had a crush on the guy who worked at the Maoz Falafel place closest to
Sagreda Familia Cathedral
still not finished after 120 years... pictures do not do it justice though us. hahaha. Kev thinks we should mention all my crushes...
Most days in Barcelona we just went to the beach (topless beaches by the way, which are
fantastic - no tan lines). It was pretty hot but a nice breeze so it was bearable. On our last day in Barcelona we did a little sightseeing. My favourite was a chocolate museum. There was a lot on the history of chocolate, lots of chocolate statues, and a workshop on how to make liquid chocolate (which, by the way, is how chocolate used to be more commonly eaten.) At the end of course, we got to eat amazing chocolate.

chocolate? Did you say chocolate?
I was living vicariously through you before, but now I'm just plain old needing to eat vicariously through you when the chocolate was mentioned. Did you buy any for me??? DID YA?? Puleeze??? :-)
