Got off from the hotel for an early start at 9.00am. We have had a nice relaxing scenic drive down the South of France and the Pyrenees etc. We managed 330 miles today arriving just South of Burgos, Northern Spain, at 4.30pm for our overnight stay. This leaves just over 500 miles to Cadiz for our 2 day Tuesday teatime ferry trip to Tenerife. We look like arriving in Cadiz late Monday afternoon. We will be very early for the ferry on Tuesday.

Our research on the ferry seems to suggest the Spanish customs at Cadiz routinely ask occupants of English cars to empty out the entire car contents for Inspection. That being the case. No problem, but they will have to wait for us to repack the car before they can have their search area back. It may be a small car but there is a lot in it.

Further research is also suggesting we need to prepare for a bill of potentially £2k import duty etc to land the car and contents in Tenerife. We have made an itemised list of contents in case we are stopped.
