Hey guys! I hope every one is doing well. Spain is amazing-I'm loving it here, but it's definitely very challenging as well. I'm a pretty social person and I enjoy meeting new people, especially people from different countries, but it is soooo hard to speak Spanish all of the time and listen to conversations because they talk so fast (normal speed to them). Plus, it seems like every building and room that I have been in in Spain echoes every little sound...I don't think I've been in a place yet that has carpet, so sounds aren't absorbed at all. So this makes for a very difficult task of straining to hear someone talk to me when I am already straining to listen when it is quieter! Haha! Hey guys! I'm finally in Avila after a very long flight/walk/train ride/and taxi ride, but thank God that I made it here safely and without too many complications (after leaving the Atlanta airport). Once I got here, there wasn't anyone to be seen. I walked and waited around for a bit to see if I could find the person who is supposed to work at the front desk, but no luck. So I tried to call home to waste some time so that I wasn't just sitting in this huge, echoing room by myself, but no luck again. Finally, I met the guy who works at the front desk and he got me settled into my room.
