we begin today with a little story. our story is set in cadiz spain where we are as i write. but first lets go back about a week or so to cinque terre located on what is considered to be the italian rivierra. cinque terre is made up of 5 little towns on the coastline that can be visited by hiking or taking the train between each town. we set out to see all 5 in the morning but after seeing 3 we decided that as beautiful as they were, they did not compare to amalfi coast. i, in true stacey fashion, suggested we take advantage of the sun and beach and lay out for a while. so back to the first town we went and bought two swimsuits and towels. they were actually quite cheap. ... read more

Hey guys! This week has been going TONS better than last week and this weekend. It makes a beautiful day that has a lot of positives and uplifting things happen in it seem so much more when you've had some really bad days in a row. I thank God that I am finally out of my rut. It wasn't a fun place to be, but I grew and learned from it. Laura, the director of the Cultural Immersions Project (the Overseas Program at IU), is here visiting us this week. She came to observe me and meet my teacher yesterday. It was SUCH a good day and very very encouraging and uplifting. Hey guys! I hope that everyone is doing well! I am finally back in Spain and somewhat glad to be back to the slower pace of life here. Last week was a fun, but exhausting week. Like I said, Prague in the Czech Republic was a great city. The set up really made it a beautiful city. One of the most interesting things that I did while there was visit a communist museum. The country was communist until 1989. Not too long ago. It was interesting to read about their history (in English) and watch some videos on what life was like when communism was coming to an end. I know that’s a weird title but its true. I want to type something that means something, what ever it means I don’t know but I don’t want it to be meaningless. That’s why I haven’t written much mostly because I haven’t had anything nice to say or interesting. I just wanted to talk about menial 4everyday things, which I thought were useless piece of information. Captured and published taking up another tiny corner of the huge World Wide Web. So, the past 2 days have been amusing as well as very very annoying and frustrating. Yesterday was a good day...it went by very fast. I'm in high school this week in the mornings going around with the English teachers. That has been very interesting. I was with Noemi, one of the English teachers, and she is able to discipline her students well. They respect her better than they respect other teachers and she had them prepare about 30 questions to ask me in English. I enjoyed talking with them. I am able to speak more English and Spanish with them. I've noticed that my Spanish has improved a lot more in the past 2 days from speaking English and then converting ... read more
