The building near our hotel Tom and I started the day with an nice breakfast at a café. We then headed to the Hop on/off bus tour we decided to take today. It would be a leisurely day. I woke up with a swollen foot. I wasn’t really sure why but oh well. Our first stop on the bus was Park Guell and the bus did not drop us off at a convenient location and gave us horrible directions. We did finally find it after a long hike. Then we had a problem finding the ticket booth. We found the exit and followed the signs but there were several people wondering around trying to find this place. But unfortunately, the next time to enter was 3 hours later. we weren’t going to wait.

town and found our Basque pintaxa bar and ate lunch and had some wine. You pay for the pintaxa’s by counting your toothpicks at the end of the meal. Afterwards we hopped on the orange route of the bus and went to the western side of Barcelona. This is the side I know better because it was where Nicky lived. It brought back so many memories as I was passing by Plaza Espana and the Sants trail station. We finished the orange route, and rejoined the green route to finish the tour and return back to our hotel.
For dinner we ate at a restaurant near the hotel and ended the night with a nightcap.
Monday, we took the subway to the airport and flew back to Raleigh and ended our “Taste of Barcelona”. What a wonderful time we had.
