Well hi there. This is my first entry and my first blog at all. Actually I am not a fan of blogging at all but since I am going on some nice trips now, I have been requested to do this and keep in contact this way. Which is pretty much the reason why I am doing this - to keep friends and family updated... This year's vacation will lead me to Greece where I will go on June,27th. I will be skipper of a nice yacht and we will sail for 10 days. After that I plan to stay 4 more days in Athens, surfing a couch and see what I can in such a short period. I will return to Mallorca on July, 11th with many visitors waiting there for me. My favourite kids ... read more

MallorcaEdgar Barguiarena So I thought I needed a vacation from all the incredible sights I had been seeing and the places I was visiting. After I had finally made it to Barcelona and getting a taste of the beach I decided to make my way to the small island of Mallorca. I dont exactly remember what made me come here, I think I figured it would be a nice detour on my way to Ibiza. I didnt know much about this place or what there was to do, just that there were supposedly some pretty nice beaches and that it was a nice contrast to the crazy party lifestyle of Ibiza. I figured three days max, and that would put me in Ibiza for the weekend. Here it is, 8 days later and I still dont ... read more

Well Mallorca was Alisons choice. She wanted somewhere hot for a change and hot she got lol. It was too hot for me anyway. I started a new job in feb in sky call centre so I never new how hard it would be to get holidays booked of so I just applied for a week and got it. So then I just booked the flights and hotel. We stayed in a small hotel in Santa Ponsa, south west majorca. The hotel was called Playas Del Rey, very nice resort. The area itself was a bit touristy for me. I would rather have been on the coast somewhere more out of the beaten track. Quiet beach and not so busy. The small town was full of pubs, irish pubs, scottish pubs, and alot of restraunts. ... read more

This weekend we took a super easy trip to Mallorca, one of Spain's Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. It was off season here, too, so everything was super cheap, tourist free compared to what it's like in the summer, and still much warmer than it was here in Bilbao over the weekend. Palma de Mallorca is the main city there, and we stayed in one of the next towns over, Palmanova, which we got into Thursday night, had dinner in town, and went to bed relatively early. Friday was our nicest day there, so we took our homework and stuff to the beach and enjoyed the sand and sun. The island is breathtakingly gorgeous and we had no problem just soaking in the scenery for a couple hours. We went to some of the shops ... read more

“A month in Spain” by Chris xo After I said a tearful goodbye to Shane at the airport and headed through security I pulled myself together (very efficiently) and headed to my departure gate. After a long wait the flight finally boarded and I found myself sitting next to a man, who was to become the most annoying person ever to sit next to on a flight. He drove me crazy for the entire 10 hours and prevented me from getting a wink of sleep. Before the flight had even left he had already taken his shoes and socks off and started scratching away madly at his feet. He also made a throaty noise every 30 seconds, picked his nose, wore intoxicatingly bad cologne and constantly leant on me and stretched his feet into my ... read more

Well, finally another chance to put up an entry in my “travel” blog, as I managed to break away from the hum drum of work to chalk up another country; Spain. Actually I’ll start with the latest London news which most (if not all) of you will know which is that Michelle made the trip over and as of the 21st of Jan has joined me here. The last couple of weeks knowing that her arrival was only just around the corner was really tough and the days dragged out for an age, but finally the hour arrived. Michelle had booked a hotel for the first couple of nights and I devised a little plan to make her arrival all the more special. I used my natural charm to sweet talk my way into her room ... read more

We spent 2 days in Palma Majorca and we were still recovering from Contiki. Today we went walking along the port as it didnt look that far to the beach. After about 1 hour of walking we decide to ditch the idea of walking and jumped in a cab and said take us to the closest beach. We had walked about 5km and drove another 5 minutes to Cala Mayor Beach. We both fell asleep and woke up when we noticed everyone packing up & leaving as it looked like it was about to rain. Tonight we found a packed restaurant down a little street that didnt look like much. But once we got inside it was a great atmosphere, mostly full of locals. When you order spirits here, they have free pour, so even though ... read more
