Nothing much today. We slept late, then went to Starbuck's for coffee and breakfast sandwiches. We sat inside the shop and people-watched: we were especially entertained by a street juggler (with a cute black puppy) who was doing very well collecting donations. Then Mum needed to return to the hotel, which she did, while Pas and I walked to the Cortes Ingles to see if we could find a converter for his extension cord. No luck - but the trip is almost over, anyway. So we returned to the hotel to collect Mum, at which point, Pas fell asleep. So I worked in my room, waiting for him to wake up.
Eventually, after 1pm, Pas woke up, claiming to have been awake the entire time. We went out, searching for the Arab Baths in a warren of streets (thank goodness for tourist signs) where we made reservations for tomorrow. Then we walked more through many streets, through the Gardens of the Molino, until Mum was nearly faint. So we found a tapas restaurant that specializes in mariscos and ordered lunch. We had some delay, as a woman at a nearby table claimed her purse was stolen by someone walking
through the restaurant ... she left, but, later, at the end of their meal, someone came in with the purse and left it with the other diners. Very odd.
We ordered a variety of fish tapas, all of which were quite tasty. Mum has a ravenous appetite, which is good to see ... and she got very mad at Pas, who left three bites of fish on his plate. Still, we had an enjoyable lunch ... though it was nearly 5pm by the time we finished.
Walked back to the hotel, through the narrow streets - was very pleased that our sense of direction took us through the maze to the front door of our hotel.
After a brief rest, Pas and I went out for another walk. We walked along the river and photographed the Toro del Oro. It was pleasant ... but the light was not all that good.
