WALLED TOWN JUST OUTSIDE
The ship calls this stop Seville, but it really is Cadiz, we are about one and half hours of Seville, we decided we would just take in the sites of Cadiz, (wanted to visit this little place when we were in Spain a few years ago but didn't make it). This where Christopher Columbus set sail on his second journey to the New World in 1493. It really is a lovely place and not too touristy at all! Sitting in a little tapas bar by the beach, with a glass of red, writing this entry. We have walked 6km around town this morning and having a lunch stop and will continue around. Lovely old sandstone walled city but where we are now is outside of that wall on the lovely sandy beach. The walk around the narrow cobbled stone streets his morning was just magic, looking above seeing all the balconies full of flowers with the sun streaming into the streets. All the locals going about their business shopping for the day in the local markets - was lovely to soak up the atmosphere. Did you see we had a nomination for photo of the week on Travel Blog, while in

What a Trip ! ! !
Just love the narrow cobblestone streets , they are a favourite of mine, when it comes to taking photos, on all our travels. Really enjoy your "blogs". Some places we have seen others we haven't , of course, all interesting. Weather seems good for you.Hope we have good weather when we leave on 15th, fingers crossed..... Love Norma .

Cadiz
Hi John and Gloria, loved to read your piece on Cadiz. Hubby and I felt the same when we docked there in 2011 on Grand Princess. Lovely place to explore and get lost in the local culture with the walk around the harbour just adding to a fantastic day. We were lucky to find in a little piazza the local women gathering for a religious celebration before their parade.
