Taken around 3 am after the boat tour. It never really gets dark in summer in St. Petersburg, hence the expression Белые Ночи - Beliye Nochi or White Nights.

Dvortsoviy Most - Palace Bridge, close to the Hermitage. All bridges over the Neva River open for a couple of hours around 2 or 3 am to allow large cargo ships to pass through. You're totally screwed if you are on the wrong side of the city when the bridges are open.

Hermitage
The real hermitage is blue, ahah!! Thanks for the images. I've always wanted to see St Petersburg. You are still traveling up a storm. Good good! But where was the wodka??
