I'm staying the night at the Izmailovo Hotel, which is nice if a bit bland.
More interesting (if only slightly) was dinner. I ate at CDL, which is a mansion with a traditional Russian dining room. Suprisingly cheap, too. Dinner was a shashlik, a sort of Russian shish kabob where beef is marinated in vinegar and herbs before being skewered with onions and grilled. Dessert was a plate of syrniki which are fritters topped with honey. The drink was Indian tea, Russia's most popular drink.
