Traditional Warsaw Desert

A huge crepe-like pancake, again filled with sweet creamy cottage cheese, smothered in a fantastic tasting cherry sauce, and of course, powdered sugar. This is actually one desert cut into two as after a fantastic meal of pierogies and great Polish beer, there was hardly any room for this desert.

Saw this as we were entering a large shopping mall in Warsaw. One of these signs is definitely different. Something you would probably not see at an entrance to a U.S. shopping mall.

hello
Thank you for a very interesting travelblog entry. I just wanted to point out one mistake you made while signing the photos. Building on a pic nuber 20 is not a seat of President of Poland but a Mayor of Warsaw. You can find Presidential Palace right here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ce/2_Palac_Prezydencki_30.jpg Greetings!

There was 2 uprising
In Warsaw was 2 uprising: 1. Ghetto uprising 2. Warsaw uprisng "The Little Insurgent" is monument for larger Warsaw uprising. The Escapers at "Uprising Memorial - The Escape" are escaping from Old Town - not from Ghetto! Ghetto uprising at that time was old time gone... Also - its little known that Nazi bulid Warsaw concentration camp. Look http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsaw_concentration_camp

I'm heading to Warsaw myself in a couple of weeks, as part of a backpacking trip around Eastern Europe, and I really enjoyed your blog. Confirmed many of the things I want to see when I'm there! Thank you.
