We landed, got our luggage, got money, headed for the bus to the city, and then the fun began. The 40 some passenger bus already had twice that amount including everyone's bags. This is the road to Kosciuszko Mound

This road was named after George Washington since Kosciuszko was a general in the American Revolutionary War and fought with George Washington.

George Washington Ave was a pretty tree-lined road away from the city.

The mound was man-made using soil sent from all the battlefields where he fought.

When we first went to Krakow, these beautiful buildings were black with soot. They are doing a wonderful job of restoring them.
