Hello again,
Greetings from a really lovely and interesting City surrounded by mountains that offer a fantastic view over the whole area.I arrived here on the 22.June and have since resided in a beautiful house overlooking Bergen (thanks to Tone and Ina)which is absolute luxury.After 2 days of roaming around town and at last seeing a World Cup match,my first!(Japan-Denmark) yesterday evening,I,m having my lazy day today and apart from trying to reduce 7 pieces of luggage into 3 which i managed (plastic sacks,Thanks Lillo for the tip) i,m enjoying the relaxation after over a months travel in which my weight has dropped by 7Kg.which surprised me because i ate like a horse all the way.Norway has been good to me since crossing the border from Sweden on the 6.june.Weatherwise, it was one days rain and mostly sunny with a cool breeze (from Egersund to Stavanger bloody gale force winds which once swept me off my bike!)
Took a few hours break in Fredrikstad to admire the Old Town which is very extremely well preserved and worth a visit before heading in the direction of Moss.About 10 km. from Moss i reached a spot to camp which a lady at a filling station had suggested and there, at a lakeside i spent my first wild camp night in Norway, which was one off many that followed.Next morning i took the Ferry from Moss to Horten regretting not having the time to visit Oslo which was only about a 100 Km North.Then down the coast passing through Tonsberg, Sandelford and on in the direction off Larvik.From Larvik to Langesund was quite straining as the hills got steeper and longer but i was feeling good and managed to get up withot getting off .In Langesund i found a very good camping spot on the coast.In Kragero i bought Moskito repellent,Which i never had to use ,thank heavans.Going to try to show a few Photo,s this time

Hi Des, nice to here that your reached Bergen! That must be a lovely place. Enjoy our stay there! And have a pleasure trip. Where to you go next? Scotland or Shetland Islands? Best wishes Robert
