Eventful day

So the first thing we knew was the battery warning light came on yesterday. We headed for a garage, great timing mechanics had gone at 4 and it was 4.15. Garages only open again in morning. We drove on and stopped at a lovely spot by a river and decided to head for garage in the morning. We did that and managed to get to a place called Storen looking for a car repair place when “Mac”, that’s the van’s name just died. Albeit it was on a small road just outside a business. Phil had to walk up to the garage who said busy for 3 weeks and then they could fit us in! Rang the RAC, took them around a couple of hours but a breakdown truck eventually turned up said it was the alternator and loaded us up. As there wasn’t room for us in the cab we had to travel in Mac on the back of the truck munching Danish pastries. Nearest garage that could fix it was in Trondheim. So here we are in a hotel for a nIght about to go out for a meal.
