A few moments on our first two days in Norway. First some reindeer we saw at the side of the road. Bernie saw an elk on the road when she walked Jeffrey later yesterday evening. Today we drove to Brönnöysund. Norway's roads are much busier. In Sweden it was not unusual not to see a car for 10 miles. If we could see two vehicles it was rush hour. In Norway it is much busier. The roads are narrower and the scenery stunning. However, this means they are slow and winding. There are some amazing bridges and long tunnels. Today was our first ferry. Roughly £ 18 to go for 20 minutes across a fijord from Holm to Venneysund. It will be the first of many.
Both retired this year and decided to embark on a long trip in our camper van Mack to Scandinavia. We intended to go for three months but Bernie having pneumonia put matters on hold. Now the plan has scaled back and we hope to travel around Denmark, Norway and Sweden. We will have to save Finland for another time.... full info
