Tag 79: Zebrugge - Schouwen, 87.74 km, Fahrzeit 5:10, Durchschn.

Monday we went to Neeltje Jans. We went there by bus. We had to be at school very early. 7.30 am. The trip took 2 hours. First we saw a movie about the Delta Project. The movie was long and a bit boring. Then we got a tour through the park. Then we got free time in the park. That was fun. In the park were seales. They were cute. There was also a fun rollercoaster kind of thing, it was really cool. You could go down a slide on a little boat. We also got fries, that was delicious. mmmmmmmmm. After Neeltje Jans we went to a swimmingpool. It was funny. The waterslide was closed because too many Danisch people went at the same time. They didn't follow the rules. Oh how bad. After the ... read more

Geo: 51.5021, 3.88705After the crazy, long, dark tunnel we stopped off in Goes to have some lunch. The scenery along our drive so far was beautiful. Lots of windmills (the newer variety) which seemed to surround factories and power plants (????). Goes is a cute Dutch town. I took a few pictures but we were anxious to get back on the road and head back to Bruges.... read more

Part 4 of 4 in the Netherlands. I've been in this country for 6 weeks and was only in southeast Asia for 5- geographically that makes very little sense. I'm still on the bike, I rode from Utrecht to Den Haag. During my 5 hour ordeal it poured with rain about 10 times. I took shelter in all sorts of places from people's front porches, company workshops and shops to under trees, but I got there eventually . I took a little detour through the city of Leiden where I had a bit of a look around and recall purchasing some strawberries- a major highlight. I then got to Den Haag (also known as The Hague)- where I stayed for two nights. In Den Haag I tried my luck with 'couchsurfing'- don't know if people ... read more
